The Beatle Bass - maybe one of the most famous basses of all time. Paul McCartney used this bass from the earliest days in Hamburg right up until the rooftop concert in Let It Be. In fact, he still uses his original Beatle Bass today! he originally chose the bass because, being left-handed, was drawn to the bass because he felt that its symmetrical shape would mean that playing it left-handed would not look as awkward as using a cutaway guitar individually selected and specified for a right-handed player:
The Axiom Cavern Bass is a faithful reproduction of McCartney's 1963 Bass. With twin 
single coil "soapbar" style pickups and a semi hollow body the Cavern will give you the true sound of the sixties - warm and round with plenty of body. The switching system is identical to the original with separate switches for treble and bass pickups plus a "solo" switch which adds punch and bottom end to the sound. Individual volume controls complete the picture.
The neck is straight and narrow making this a great bass for the first timer. owing to it's lightness and ease of holding its also a great bass for girls or children. The body features a stunning flame maple finish in the original sunburst.

Beautiful Beatle style bass
By: Ross on 26 November 2020Given the extremely competitive price of this bass, I was frankly a little worried that it might be lacking in quality. I am delighted to say that I couldn't have been more wrong! It looks absolutely amazing and the overall quality of the finish is quite good. I am a novice, so I can't give an expert opinion of the sound quality, except to say that it sounds very good to me and is very light (Like the original it is indeed hollow) and easy to play. To sum up...if you are looking for a Hofner style bass, then you would be hard pressed to find a better quality one than this.....and at a price that is considerably less expensive than what overseas sellers are charging.

Amazing bass for the price
20 December 2019When I first got this bass out of the box, I was amazed with how well the bass looked. The sunburst colour is spot on, the archtop bridge and pickups are identical to a Hofner bass and the pickguard has the authentic white pattern. The control panel is awesome and the electronics do the job making the bass have a great sound. The playability is great and it sounds a lot like an a Hofner bass which would be the goal here. Only problem I have had is raising the bridge which is a difficult task as it is very tight to turn the screws and it can take some of your skin off your fingers! All set aside I would highly recommend this bass to anyone looking for a budget Beatle bass.
