CHALLENGER GUITAR

I was busy recording a 'meat n potatoes' track in my home studio. The guitar riffs needed the sound made by humbuckers, and as there was no sign of a Les Paul decorating my place I put the track on hold. I spotted an ad on Facebook (via Bunnings) which displayed what looked like a Gibson, but had a price tag way lower than a Gibson, and a fair way cheaper than say, an Epiphone Les Paul. So I took the chance, and ordered the Axiom Challenger. The instrument was delivered within three days, the carton and packaging was excellent. My first impression as the guitar emerged from the box was how glorious the finish was. Next impression was the weight which compares favourably with a Gibson equivalent. I tuned up, plugged in to a Roland combo and checked the octaves.. all good, and a smooth action on the neck. At this point I was patting myself on the back for taking a 'risk' on a cheap guitar which turns out to be a winner. Ok, so being fussy, I changed the strings straight away for some Elixir 09's. It's a Chinese made guitar. They obviously fine tuned the manufacture of these guitars to make them close as possible to the Gibson Les Paul. They've done it very well. The volume and tone potentiometers don't sweep as sweetly as the upmarket type but they do the job. I might change the machine heads to Grovers or Gibson at a later date, but that would be fussy! So overall, I highly recommend this guitar which would suit both professional and beginners.

My daughter has been playing one of these for years and it's going great, no dramas. Of course since it's a plastic body it sounds beginner-y but the student yamaha is also plastic i believe.

At first I was a bit surprised at how incredibly cheap this product is, but after actually playing it and feeling it, I can positively say that this is such a good bang-for-your-buck. It plays a really rich and mellow sound and, despite heavy lacker, the sound is just incredible. The only small downside I've had with this product is that the valves feel a little bit weird and different to a normal trumpet but aside from that, this is an astoundingly high-quality product. Would recommend!

I bought the slightly damaged one of these with a $100 discount but other than the slight markings it is the same as these ones. I am very happy with everything about it. It arrived the next day and I was playing it straight from the box. The strings took awhile to stretch in and stay in tune and is the only con I can think of. This is the third instrument I have purchased from Axiom and I think a returning customer is the best recommendation there is. 5 stars.

I ordered the Prelude Trumpet Outfit - Ideal for School. The delivery was quick and the product arrived within a day or two! On top of that, the trumpet came with various cleaning products, a strap and valve oil which is amazing given the price point. If you're hesitating I say go for it! Good luck with your trumpet playing, can't wait to see where mine takes me.

The order came within a day or two and included various extra cleaning cloths, valve oil and a strap which was amazing given the price point. I don't think it's possible to get a trumpet any cheaper yet this one was amazing. Definitely happy with my purchase and will come to Axiom in the future for any music related to purchases. If you're hesitating I say go for it! Great value for the price point.

My daughter in year 3 loved this violin and the teacher was pretty happy with it too! It was delivered quickly and was in perfect working order. She has now outgrown it and will be buying a new bigger one very soon!

Given the extremely competitive price of this bass, I was frankly a little worried that it might be lacking in quality. I am delighted to say that I couldn't have been more wrong! It looks absolutely amazing and the overall quality of the finish is quite good. I am a novice, so I can't give an expert opinion of the sound quality, except to say that it sounds very good to me and is very light (Like the original it is indeed hollow) and easy to play. To sum up...if you are looking for a Hofner style bass, then you would be hard pressed to find a better quality one than this.....and at a price that is considerably less expensive than what overseas sellers are charging.

This Violin is amazing for the beginner! This is a high quality Violin with a good price. It came one week from now and its wonderful! It produces such a great sound, its already set up with the bridge in place and the pegs up in tune! I have already learned 2 songs and this Violin makes it easy to learn. The chin rest is extremely comfortable and the bow is made of very good quality horsehair. If you are looking for a good violin as a replacement or as a beginner, this is probably the best budget choice in Australia. Yes, you may need to spend a bit more money for a good quality shoulder rest and some better quality rosin, but other than that I don't have any complaints. Thank you Axiom, I will always know to trust you for good quality budget items!

I just received mine today and I love it it's everything I thought it would be I've been playing for 48 years now I love strats but the white Bird has a nice Gibson sound and it's BIG great guitar I would recommend this product to any beginner or experienced players cheers for a great product

My daughter's violin arrived earlier this morning and it is an absolute delight! I am so impressed. Her grandmother purchased it for her so she can start violin classes (she just turned 4). The violin has a lovely sound and is perfect for the student violinist while being extremely good value too! It came with an information leaflet which we really appreciated. I can see how Axiom has thoroughly thought everything out. We will be purchasing all our violins from Axiom from now on (I'm tempted to get one for myself as I haven't played for years and am thinking of getting back into it). Thank you so much!

When I first got this bass out of the box, I was amazed with how well the bass looked. The sunburst colour is spot on, the archtop bridge and pickups are identical to a Hofner bass and the pickguard has the authentic white pattern. The control panel is awesome and the electronics do the job making the bass have a great sound. The playability is great and it sounds a lot like an a Hofner bass which would be the goal here. Only problem I have had is raising the bridge which is a difficult task as it is very tight to turn the screws and it can take some of your skin off your fingers! All set aside I would highly recommend this bass to anyone looking for a budget Beatle bass.

Big thank you to Axiom for the great service! My daughter's flute just arrived and its a really good instrument. I've been playing the flute for 30 years, and perform regularly, am a music teacher, and have a degree in music. Considering that the instrument is very affordable, I assumed that the sound quality would be lower, however it produces a great sound, and the key action is very good. I'm really happy and very impressed with the service, and will definitely use it again.

I was looking to buy a basic guitar as a gift for my niece's first lessons. The set was really good value and best price I could find. It cost about the price of a full guitar elsewhere but had a stand and few other accessories. What blew me away was the customer service. David was very quick to respond to me after hours as there was some misunderstanding on my part about delivery. You want the piece of mind of being able to speak to a person about any potential issues. I'd definately recommend AXIOM

I have to say, given the price, I didn't have too high an expectation but this guitar is beautifully made and plays beautifully. After reading the previous review I also decided to replace the strings and slightly lower the action which made the guitar sound and play even better, and the support from David was first class. Couldn't be more satisfied.

Had this for a couple of days, very well made indeed. Firstly I replaced the strings with A,addario flats, lowered the action quite a bit, took the pick guard off, looks and feels like a es174. Since my mods, it plays superbly....recommend.

I'm an adult multi instrumentalist picking up a reed woodwind for the first time. This was one of the most budget-friendly options available- Yamaha etc are around $600+. From what I can tell so far it's a decent instrument for the price. There aren't any leaks and I can produce an ok albeit beginnery tone with it.
